Mission
The mission of the Middle East Technical University Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering is to educate students in engineering fields related to subsurface fluid resources (drilling, production and reservoir engineering, and geothermal energy) in order to equip them with knowledge in the fundamental subjects of petroleum engineering and enable them to develop solutions for national, international, social, and environmental issues related to the petroleum industry. Through internship opportunities, theoretical education is reinforced with practical applications, and students become familiar with real working conditions.
