Graduates of the Middle East Technical University Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Program are expected to achieve the following program objectives within a few years after graduation.
Our graduates are expected to:

Be preferred by major national and international companies as successful petroleum engineers working in the development and production of underground energy resources such as petroleum, natural gas, geothermal energy, shale gas, and coalbed methane.

Reach managerial positions in national and international organizations where they can take active and policy-making roles.

Pursue successful academic careers in petroleum engineering departments within academia.

Successfully perform duties in other sectors of the industry such as research and development, transportation, inspection, marketing, and sales.
